'take only photographs, leave only footprints and kill only time'

Alonnisos (it's that island close to Skiathos and closer to Skopelos!) is one of the Aegean islands of the Northern Sporades and is my home as well as being the only permanently inhabited island in the National Marine Park. It is a walkers' paradise year round, with the possible exception of the hot summer months, normally mid June through to the end of August. The big attraction of walking in spring is the abundance of wild flowers, from fields of blood red poppies to forest trails bordered with orchids.
