Dieser traditionelle, alte Kopfsteinpflasterweg beginnt eigentlich mit einer kleinen Betonstraße, die sich zu altem Kopfsteinpflaster verengt. Er steigt langsam durch ein kleines Tal an und führt Sie an einem natürlichen Brunnen vorbei, bevor er weiter nach oben führt. Im Frühling ist der Weg ein einziges Gewimmel von Insekten und Wildblumen. Etwa 20 Minuten weiter oben kreuzt der Weg eine asphaltierte Straße und hier finden Sie einige der spektakulärsten Ausblicke auf das alte Dorf.
Gehen Sie den Weg weiter hinauf und Sie kommen auf eine weitere asphaltierte Straße. Gehen Sie die Straße weiter hinauf und Sie kommen an den Aloni-Kreisen auf der rechten Seite vorbei. Dies waren die alten traditionellen Getreidedreschkreise. Gehen Sie weiter die Straße hinauf und Sie erreichen den Eingang zum traditionellen Teil des Dorfes. Wenn Sie jetzt in das Dorf gehen und es erkunden möchten, gehen Sie weiter. Alternativ können Sie auch weiter durch das Dorf gehen, vorbei an der Kirche von Panagia und dem Friedhof der Insel mit seinen farbenfrohen Denkmälern zu Ihrer Rechten.
Nach dem Friedhof folgen Sie der unbefestigten Straße nach links und fahren ca. 500 m weiter. Hier stoßen Sie auf ein Tor, das Sie direkt auf den Gipfel des Kalavoulos führt, den drittgrößten Berg der Insel (325 m). Der Weg zum Gipfel dauert etwa 30 Minuten und bietet einige der schönsten Ausblicke auf die Insel, auf Skopelos und auf die malerische Altstadt.
Direkt am Gipfel gibt es einen Ausflugspunkt und einen Unterstand für Wanderer. Ein wunderbarer Ort, um aufzusatteln und sich an den Farben des Sonnenuntergangs zu erfreuen. Danach steigen Sie auf demselben Weg wieder hinunter. Sobald Sie wieder auf der unbefestigten Straße sind, fahren Sie geradeaus weiter und Sie sehen die unbefestigte Straße, die sich hinunter zum Strand von Mikros Mourtias schlängelt.
Kurz bevor Sie den Strand erreichen, sehen Sie einen weiteren alten, traditionellen Kopfsteinpflasterweg, der nach links abzweigt, einen weiteren alten Eselspfad, der Sie zurück in die Altstadt führt. Dieser Weg führt Sie in ca. 30 Minuten bei langsamem Tempo bis zum hinteren Teil des Dorfes beim alten Schulhaus. Hier sind Sie genau richtig, um die engen Gassen der zauberhaften Altstadt zu erkunden. Sie werden eine Reihe von kleinen Geschäften und Restaurants finden, die traditionelle lokale Köstlichkeiten anbieten.
Von der Altstadt aus können Sie schließlich den Weg zurück zum Dorfeingang finden, wenn Sie den Bus nehmen möchten. Alternativ können Sie auch den alten Eselspfad zurück nach Patitiri laufen.
Dieser Spaziergang kann einen ganzen Tag in Anspruch nehmen, einschließlich eines Bades in Micros Mourtias und eines Mittagessens in einer der Tavernen in der Altstadt.
