Ένας τόπος γεμάτος ηρεμία και ένα από τα πιο επισκέψιμα σημεία είναι οι "Δύο εκκλησίες" στους Αγίους Αναργύρους.

Ξεκινώντας από το Πατητήρι πάρτε τον κεντρικό δρόμο έξω από το λιμάνι και στρίψτε αριστερά στην κορυφή δίπλα στο σχολείο. Από εδώ ακολουθήστε δεξιά και στη συνέχεια διακλαδιστείτε πάλι αριστερά σε μια πινακίδα προς την "Παλιά Αλόννησο".

Περίπου 500 μέτρα πιο κάτω στο δρόμο, σε μια αριστερή στροφή θα βρείτε το "Atrium Hotel" στα δεξιά σας. Ακριβώς μπροστά από το χώρο στάθμευσης στα αριστερά υπάρχει ένα σπίτι- στη δεξιά πλευρά αυτού του σπιτιού υπάρχει ένα μικρό μονοπάτι που οδηγεί προς τα πάνω. Το μονοπάτι θα διακλαδωθεί δεξιά μετά από 100 μέτρα, περνάει μέσα από μια δασώδη περιοχή και στη συνέχεια παίρνει έναν μικρό χωματόδρομο για περίπου 20 μέτρα πριν διακλαδωθεί ξανά προς τα κάτω δεξιά.

Ακολουθήστε αυτό το καλά περπατημένο μονοπάτι για 500 μέτρα περίπου. Αυτό σας κατεβάζει στο φυσικό πηγάδι Mega Nero, μια δημοφιλής στάση ανάπαυσης των περιπατητών. Το νερό σε αυτό το πηγάδι είναι διαυγές και καθαρό και εξακολουθεί να συλλέγεται από πολλούς κατοίκους του νησιού σε καθημερινή βάση για τις ανάγκες τους σε πόσιμο νερό.

Πάρτε τον μικρό χωματόδρομο που οδηγεί δεξιά από το πηγάδι, ο οποίος θα σας φέρει σε μια διασταύρωση. Συνεχίστε ευθεία και στη συνέχεια πάρτε τον ασφαλτοστρωμένο δρόμο στα αριστερά, με κατεύθυνση προς την παραλία Τσουκαλιά. Στα μισά της διαδρομής παρατηρήστε ένα χωματόδρομο στα δεξιά. Ακολουθήστε αυτόν τον υπέροχο περίπατο μέσα στο δάσος μέχρι να φτάσετε σε ένα σπίτι στο τέλος του δρόμου. Εδώ το μονοπάτι στενεύει και ανηφορίζει, γίνεται λίγο ανώμαλο σε ορισμένα σημεία πριν τελικά εξομαλυνθεί.

Μετά από περίπου 100 μέτρα το μονοπάτι κατεβαίνει μερικά σκαλοπάτια και σας οδηγεί σε ένα ξέφωτο, όπου υπάρχουν δύο εκκλησίες. Η μία εκκλησία χρονολογείται από τον 15ο-16ο αιώνα και έχει ανακαινιστεί προσεκτικά. Η πιο σύγχρονη εκκλησία χτίστηκε αμέσως μετά τον 2ο Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο. Μπροστά από τις εκκλησίες υπάρχει ένα ξύλινο καμπαναριό με μια μεγάλη καμπάνα που περιμένει να χτυπηθεί... Στην ίδια περιοχή θα βρείτε επίσης τα ερείπια ενός μικρού μοναστηριού. Τροφοδοτήστε το βλέμμα σας με τη θέα και μια καθαρή μέρα αναζητήστε ακόμα και τη Σκιάθο!

Από εδώ μπορείτε να επιστρέψετε από τον ίδιο δρόμο που ήρθατε ή να περπατήσετε μπροστά από τις εκκλησίες, παίρνοντας ένα απότομο μονοπάτι προς την παραλία Τουρκονέρι για να κολυμπήσετε. Επιπλέον, μπορείτε επίσης να πάτε παραπέρα και να εξερευνήσετε την περιοχή της Μεγάλης Άμμου και πέρα από αυτήν.

Ο περίπατος προς τις δύο εκκλησίες και πίσω διαρκεί περίπου τρεις ώρες με τις στάσεις για θέαση και ξεκούραση.

Οι περιγραφές αυτές είναι σύντομες. Συνιστάται να προμηθευτείτε ένα από τα πολλά βιβλία περιπάτου και χάρτες που θα σας βοηθήσουν περαιτέρω σε αυτή την περιοχή.
