General Terms & Conditions of Travel

– The ticket is personal and non-transferable. It is valid only for the category and the route for which it was issued.
– The ticket does not include meals.
– Passengers must be at the departure point one (1) hour before the departure of the ship. If the passenger is not at the departure point on time, he/she is not entitled to a refund of the ticket value.
– Infants up to four (4) years of age travel free of charge but are not entitled to a bed, while children from four (4) to ten (10) years of age pay a reduced fare and are entitled to a bed.
– The holder of a full ticket is entitled to carry free luggage up to 40 kg.
– The shipping company is not responsible for any damage or loss of the passenger’s luggage during the trip, for which the passenger alone is responsible.
– Jewellery, money and valuables can be handed over to the ship’s accounting office for safekeeping.
– The shipping company is responsible for any delay in departure, diversion or failure to keep to the planned itinerary due to bad weather conditions or orders from the Ministry of Merchant Shipping or the Port Authorities or due to force majeure.
– Passengers are prohibited from carrying explosives, flammable and generally dangerous materials.
– Passengers are responsible for complying with port and health regulations.
– Passengers must obey the orders of the captain and crew as regards the maintenance of order and safety.
Pets on board
There are special pet accommodation areas on board. Passengers travelling with a pet should carry the pet’s recently updated health booklet and are responsible for its care, safety and hygiene. The only exception is for guide dogs where their presence is permitted in all areas. Unaccompanied pets are not accepted.
Ticket Cancellation Policy
– Ticket cancellations can only be made from our office or from the head office of the ferry company.
– Ticket cancellation by phone is not allowed. Passengers must hand in the tickets at the issuing office.
– After the departure of the ferry:
– No changes are allowed.
– They cannot be converted to open-date tickets.
– The travel date cannot be changed.
– In the event of a lost ticket, no reissue or refund is provided.
Refund conditions (until the new policy from the ferry companies)
– Up to 14 days before departure: 100% refund of the ticket value.
– Up to 7 days before departure: 75% refund of the ticket value.
– Up to 48 hours before departure: 50% refund of the ticket value.
– Less than 24 hours before departure: No refund.
Open Date Tickets
Tickets can also be converted to open tickets at least 12 hours prior to departure.
Open date tickets can be replaced with tickets of another date on any of our routes, subject to availability.
Open tickets are valid for one year from the date of conversion to open tickets.
Open tickets cannot be cancelled and no partial or full refund can be made.
Tickets that have replaced open date tickets cannot be cancelled or converted to open date tickets.
In the process of replacing open tickets, fare difference is not refundable but in case the new ticket is more expensive the difference is collected.
Receipt of Tickets
You can collect your tickets at no extra charge from:
– Our company’s offices during opening hours.
– The central agents of the ferry companies.
– The offices of the ferry company.
– At your request, the tickets can be sent to you by courier company to the address you have indicated when booking.
Shipping charges:
– Within Greece: 10€.
– International: 25€.
Charges and Payments
Charges
The company ALONISSOS TRAVEL AND MORE IKE, which operates the website ALONNISOSTRAVEL.GR, is based in Greece. All charges are made in Euros (€).
Before the booking is completed, the total amount is displayed in Euros. We are not responsible for any exchange rate differences or additional charges that your bank may impose for transactions in foreign currency.
Payment methods
Payment can be made by the available methods listed on our website. No other methods of payment are accepted, and we are not responsible for cash or cheques sent by post.
In case of payment by bank deposit, the client must send proof of deposit by email within 48 hours of booking. If the payment is not confirmed in time, the reservation is automatically cancelled, without any liability of our company for any price increase at a later stage.
Tickets, confirmations or discount vouchers will only be issued once payment has been completed. After payment, you will receive a receipt or invoice to the email address you provided during booking. In case of incorrect invoice details on your part, a change will be charged with 10€.
Delay or cancellation of a service for reasons of force majeure
Our company is not responsible for delays, deviation and non-adherence to the normal course due to bad weather conditions or orders of the Ministry of Shipping and Port Authorities or force majeure and are made with the main concern for the safety of passengers. In case of cancellation of a voyage for reasons of force majeure (e.g. sailing ban due to adverse weather conditions), Alonissos Travel & More IKE will refund the entire value of the ticket and only the value of the ticket.
Amendments to the Terms of Use
We reserve the right to modify or update the Terms of Use without notice. The most current version of the Terms will be posted on our website. Continued use of the website implies acceptance of the new terms by the user.
